EAST COBB – Beginning in the 1970’s this area east of Marietta’s city limits outward to the Fulton County line experienced an explosion of growth as people moved out to the suburbs. East Cobb Neighborhoods are usually defined by well-planned subdivisions with active community associations. Many communities have their own pool and tennis facilities. East Cobb (Marietta GA) Real Estate

East Cobb generally refers to certain areas of Cobb County, Georgia located north and east of Interstate 75, north and west of the Chattahoochee River and west of North Fulton County. The northern border of East Cobb is roughly Hwy 92 wich separates Cobb County from Cherokee County. East Cobb does not have an official zip code, however its communities can be distinguished by homes in the postal codes of 30067,30068,30062, and 30066 in unincorporated Marietta, as well as a sizeable portion of unincorporated Roswell (a Fulton County city) also falling within the East Cobb section of Cobb County located north of Shallowford Rd in postal code 30075. No part of East Cobb technically falls within incorporated city limits.

The Chattahoochee River runs along the southern end of East Cobb and offers fishing, tubing, kayaking, canoeing, camping, picnicking and hiking. The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area provides another 48 miles of public riverfront access for visitors. Sope Creek begins in the northern part of Cobb County and winds its way through East Cobb past the ruins of the historic Soap Creek Mill before it ends at the Chattahoochee River. A recent addition to the areas many parks is East Cobb Park which features paved walking trails, family movie nights, a picnic pavilion, a fenced recreation and playground areas.
